As of 1:45 p.m., only Madison high school athletic events at Beloit Memorial, Janesville Craig, Oregon and Hartmeyer Ice Arena are postponed. All other Madison School District and MSCR activities will be held as scheduled.

Parents Dropping Off/Picking Up Students - Please drop off/pick up students on the Cherokee side of the street so students do not have to cross the boulevard. 

     

Message From The Principal

Welcome to Cherokee Heights Middle School, celebrating its 55th year of excellence in education. We are off to a great start. We are fortunate to have many returning veteran teachers, along with several talented new staff members.

Throughout the 2009-2010 school year, we will continue to focus on the following district-wide strategic priorities:

Instructional Excellence. Improving student achievement, offering challenging, diverse and contemporary curriculum and instruction.
Student Support. Assuring a safe, respectful and welcoming learning environment.

Fiscal Responsibility. Using resources efficiently and strategically.

Each branch of the Cherokee community - students, staff, parents, and community partners - plays a vital role in making Cherokee a great place to learn and play. I take pride in Cherokee's reputation for academic excellence, fairness, and community service, and I look forward to working with you to continue this proud tradition.
